I signed up for this credit card and after months of waiting for my bonus points i got a call saying i was not eligible for the bonus points because i was previously signed up to the standard awards credit card.
Typically sign up offers are only for either new to bank customers or new to product customers. Given the bank has advised you were not eligible I would review how you applied for the product.
If you were provided advice from an employee the bank should honour this and I would approach their customer relations or complaint team. If you applied online or via a manual form the T&Cs would have specified eligibility.
