Accor offers easy boost to Hertz Gold Plus elite status

Gold and Platinum members of the Le Club AccorHotels loyalty program can now enjoy a boost to elite status with Hertz Gold Plus Rewards, offering benefits like one-class upgrades and guaranteed vehicle availability when hiring cars with Hertz.

Le Club Gold guests are elevated to the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Five Star tier, while Le Club Platinum members enjoy membership at the impressively-worded Hertz Gold Plus Rewards President’s Circle level.

What’s more, all Le Club members – whether holding Classic, Silver, Gold or Platinum status – can earn a generous five Le Club points per US$1 spent with Hertz through August 31 2016, and three Le Club points per US$1 thereafter.

Also through the end of August for Accor members, a 10% discount on all worldwide Hertz rentals and no charge for one additional driver on those bookings.

To access these new benefits or to claim your newfound elite status with Hertz, check your inbox for an email from Accor containing a registration link and detailing what you’re entitled to receive at your current Le Club tier.

Hi Chris, 

I am LeClub Platinum but  yet I havent received email from Accor regarding this offer. 

is it worth to write to the customer service or just wait for the email to come through.

It's only a new deal and they have to email each member individually, so best to give them a chance to email everybody first.

Interesting to see this story and the sponsored post from Hertz in one day. They are clearly on the acquisition path. 

I was very loyal to Hertz until a few years ago when Avis convinced me to switch over - all it took was watching an Avis customer arrive 5mins after me at Auckland International airport and then being on his way a clear 3mins before I got my keys. Similar experience at Sydney domestic. 

They seemed stuck in the dark ages re getting regular customers in and out quickly.
