BA reveals new amenity kits for Club World business class
British Airways is upgrading its business class amenity kits, with travellers in the airline's Club World due to see the new kits from the start of December.
Both the men's and women's editions of the kits feature products from BA partner Elemis, with the current soft pouch replaced by a more versatile drawstring bag which the airline says can double "as a shoe or lingerie and underwear bag."
The new men's kit includes Elemis Skin Soothe Shave Gel, Pro-Collagen Marine Cream moisturiser and lip balm along with the usual razor, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste and a handy pen for filling out those arrivals forms. Women will get the same moisturiser and lip balm as the blokes but are also treated to a 'soothing apricot facial wipe' plus Elemis Pro-Collagen Hand & Nail Cream. British Airways is also upgrading its Elemis 'travel spas' located at BA's flagship lounges at London's Heathrow Terminal 5 and New York's JFK Airport, with a range of specialist grooming treatments for men and women starting in early December, 2013, alongside the current menu of massage treatments. "Elemis is working with brow experts HD Brows, nail professional Essie and grooming guru Richard Anthony to create a bespoke service for British Airways customers to leave them feeling prepped and polished before they fly", the airline says. The new pre-flight pampering comes as Elemis unveils a refurbished spa at Terminal 5 including new massage chairs, a dedicated 'grooming area' and a more open-plan layout. Seems like the ear plugs and eyeshade, the two most important things, have been removed and replaced by a pen.

It's worth noting that the BAEC board on FlyerTalk have had more than one thread lamenting the lack of pens. That said, eye shades and ear plugs are an absolute must.
Fortunately, I pack my own amenity kit, using the excellent bag provided by VA on transcons.

tried it today on the new flagship A380 service from London to Hong Kong - no sleeping mask or airplugs (airstaff had to rummage around to find them)
