Bose culls QuietComfort headphone line: axes QC15, QC3 models
Bose has culled its QuietComfort family of noise-cancelling headphone, axing the QC15 and QC3 models in favour of the QC20 and just-released QC25 (below).

While the company announced that its new QuietComfort 25 would replace the popular QC15 – delivering plenty of new features for the same price – the compact QC3 was also dropped without fanfare.
However, a Bose spokesperson confirmed to Australian Business Traveller that "the QC3s will be discontinued... the QC25 and QC20 will be Bose's two noise cancelling offerings moving forward."
Bose settling on the in-ear QC20 (above) and the over-the-ear QC25 as its sole noise-cancelling cans will no doubt minimise confusion among travellers who were often confused when trying to choose between – even differentiate between – the QC3 and QC15.

OMG! So there is no on-ear option (QC 3)????
That is absolutely horrid! The sound quality for on-ear is so much better than around-ear (QC 15).
This is dissapointing...

I just gave changed over from my QC15 to QC20 and wish I hadn't. I like the idea of the QC20s (easier to sleep with, more portable, easier to pack etc), but the shape of my ear canal must not follow that of the average Bose has used to model their mouldings :(
