Was just wondering if anyone has ever flown the MEL - CNS sector of the Jetstar 787 that continues onto Tokyo?
They have cheap business fairs for the far north at the moment, which brings me to my next question, does JQ business stack up to VA & QF standards on a domestic flight like this?
Also am wondering what documentation I’ll need as it departs as a domestic flight but reaches cairns into the international terminal, just making sure I’m 100% able to use this service.
I used to live in Cairns and often flew on the domestic sectors of international flights.
You simply need passport or official photo ID like a license. No duty free allowed and 100ml limits on liquids in hand luggage applies. Check in closes one hour before departure.
Because of border clearance formalities it’s not possible to leave domestic and arrive in the international terminal. May I kindly suggest you reconfirm the terminals.
Jetstar is currently operating pure domestic 787 flights on the Melbourne-Cairns route.
JQ business just means bigger seats. The seats and legroom feels similar to QF and VA 737 business seats.
Food can be purchased the same as an economy passenger would.
All I needed when I flew this was a driver's licence but check in closed 1 hr before departure as any international flight would. It may also took longer to exit the airport on arrival.

Hey everyone,

Hopefully I’ve explained this well enough.
Thanks a lot :)
