Current Status of Qantas International Business Lounge Perth T1

I know that Executive Traveller has reported that the Qantas International Business Lounge at Perth Terminal 1 has permanently closed. However, I recently received an email from Qantas that as per the website, it was only temporarily closed. The email was a bit vague (indicating that once reopened it would open 3 hours before each Qantas operated service, which doesn’t make sense given Qantas doesn’t operate flights from T1!)

Has anyone got any updates on the state of the lounge, and progress about whether customers that would usually access the T1 lounge are going to be able to use the Aspire Lounge free of charge?

There doesn’t seem to be much information aside from the article in Executive Traveller.
