Hi, hope knowledgeable members in this forum may clarify a point here. I always work on the assumption that one can access Qantas first lounge as Plat even if flying economy in both Qantas and Jetstar.
and noticed that there is this footnote symbol for lounge access to International First lounge for Qantas Plats. In the footnote, it says that you have to be traveling on Business Max Fare if flying Jetstar. Is this a new thing or it has always been this way for ages? Because pre-COVID I used to be able to access Qantas lounge even flying Jetstar on economy. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!
I flew MEL-BKK a few weeks ago on JQ as a QR Plat (Emerald). The person at the First Lounge said if I was QF Plat I would be able to access, though not allowed as a QR Plat (understandable). He was nice enough to phone the Business Lounge and let me in though.
I flew JQ economy Melb - Singapore and return a few weeks ago as a QF Plat. Got in to the first lounge in both Melbourne and Singapore no questions asked.
I think you can still get in if your status qualifies you but, if you don't have status, you will need to be on a Business Max fare and only the Business Lounge will be available.

But I just went to Qantas website again
