I am panning to fly to San Diego in December from Sydney in Business Class. I am tossing between Deta, Air New Zeland & United. Who has the better business class to the US?

QF would be my first preference. Other than that, I would prefer Air NZ, however you will have to go via AKL. The others offer a less superior offering and you would depart from SYD.

Out of those three I'd go with Air NZ. I fly them quite a lot to the States. Even though you have to travel via Auckland, their service and product is far superior to Delta and United.

Hello
I would DEFINATELY fly Air New Zealand. I would fly them over all the above and over QF. This is because their Business Premier cabin is spectacular. All suites offer direct isle access and the food and IFE is excellent (and a fantastic wine selection ;) ) Then you can fly on NZ partner Virgin America to San Diego, they are the best US Airline. With Air NZ you can choose to fly to either LAX or SFO. LAX is on the new 777-300ER and has a better bed and a bar, adn SFO is on the 747-400, with self serve bar. The pkanes are much of a muchness.

I did this route late last year. If you can fly Qantas, it's the easiest and most time-effiecient. But if it has to come to a choice of the above, go ANZ.

Qantas – A380 straight from Sydney, MK2 Skybed, oneworld connection with AA. Easy.

Flying with Air NZ will mean an extra stop, which would put me off. Between Delta and United, I would definitely pick Delta, but that's only because UA is miserable. Qantas or VA would be my preference (if you're restricted to the listed airlines then pick a DL codeshare operated by VA).

Definitely would go with QF and than AA for the short flight to San Diego. However, if you really need to choose between the three above than NZ would be my first preference in terms of service, but too many layovers... so if you want something more direct than DL over UA.

Thank you all for your thoughts. I endded up booking with Delta as the fare was $4,000 cheaper than QF, UA , VA & NZ. $5,000 return buiness. UA came in at $8,500
