Is it possibly a timing change? I have noticed the JL Melbourne - Tokyo flight at the moment is during the day but I have a rewards flight booked for November 2023 that has an 00:45 departure time. From memory, way back in the good old days of 2019, Qantas flew the day flight Melb-Tokyo, perhaps they have been using the Qantas slot and have to give it back in March and revert to their old slot timing of a 00:45am departure?
They haven’t cancelled MEL - NRT on weekdays. Tickets still available for purchase on weekdays.
I have a JAL QFF classic reward flight on a Weds in August which is still intact. What change did they make?
Was booked to return 3rd March Tokyo - Mel this has now been pushed to 4th March as they stopped the direct flight, looking later through March it’s showing direct flight on Saturday Tokyo Mel and then direct flight Mel Tokyo on the Sunday.
Scheduling has changed significantly and cannot work out why? Is it possible runway upgrades at Melbourne that is causing this?
