So...You can book Qatar Airways redemptions online via Velocity Frequent Flyer, you can transfer Velocity Points to KrisFlyer for Singapore flights and Virgin have an Alliance with United.. does this mean that the best option for Australians is no longer to accumulate Frequent-flyer Points but to accumulate Velocity Points (seen previously as being inferior) for all overseas travel using points!? Your views please!?
My personal (and probably controversial) view is that Qantas FF hasn’t been the best option for Australians for many years now. However, yes, in the current climate I have no doubt that for the reasons you state above, between Qantas and Velocity, Velocity is definitely the better option for the time being.
