How many QF status credits will I receive flying CX Syd to LHR return in J?

How many QF status credits will I receive flying CX Syd to LHR return in J?

By my reading of: http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/program/status-credits and http://www.gcmap.com/mapui?P=SYD-LHR you'll get 240 credits each way, so 480 return.

I'm pretty sure as this would be flown SYD-HKG-LHR-HKG-SYD (OP did say he was flying CX) it would actually be 560. 120 each way SYD/HKG & 160 each way HKG/LHR.

So it sounds like QF awards status credits on OneWorld at the same rate as on QF flights.

As a Platinum OneWorld, would you fly CX or QF to LHR?

It depends how desperate you are for Status credits. Personally, I'd rather go CX because I need the status points. But if you do a lot of travel and don't require the status points as much, go QF. You get considerably more frequent flyer points when travelling on QF (given you get a better cabin bonus. I'm also assuming you have platinum which means you'll get a better status bonus as well.). 

Also, does anyone know the CX flights numbers for HKG to LHR on the new J product 777s?
