Hi all,
I’ve been trying to offset a qantas flight on the qantas website for a flight purchased through a third party agency for my fiancé and I kept getting error messages so phoned the FF call centre for help. The person I spoke to said that they can’t manually process the carbon offset because it is not their ticket stock (she didn’t even try). I was surprised to be told this as I was under the impression the carbon offset option was there for this reason, otherwise why show it as an option on a non-qantas(dot)com booking? Has anyone found a work around for this? I am thinking of phoning back in a few hours and not mentioning it was not booked direct through qantas to see if I can get any more help.

There is no workaround, I have been trying to offset work trips for over a year now (they are booked via a third party agency).
When I have called they just say "its an issue they know exists and will fix in due course".

What a crazy oversight or mismatch given the extent of their green/sustainability marketing. Seems like a fairly easy thing to fix, especially if people want to throw a few hundred points to offset their flight when they may not have had the option of using Qantas' website to book (and the system provides the option to offset!)
