If the AA lounge at CDG, which I have used, is anything to go by then the experience for Qantas Club (QC) members at the AA lounge is definitely a step down from the BA Galleries lounge, which QC members had access to before the BA/QF divorce.
charlesr suggests they are a Qantas Club member (ie not Qantas Gold or Platinum), thus limited to the AA lounge.
Agree that the AA lounge is not as good as the BA lounges, but it is by no means a bad lounge, and indeed is probably the best lounge in the entire AA lounge network.
Thanks moa999. You've got it right, at present got silver status & this hop flying in PE, so the AA lounge is our only option. You've reassured me that we'll at least have a decent lounge....with luck it may even be less crowded than the BA lounge we've used a few times in terminal 3. It can be like a cattle pen.

Have any Qantas Club members experienced the American Airlines lounge at Heathrow while waiting for QF2 back to Sydney?

Hi charlesr,
I believe John from AUSBT did a review of this lounge some time back:

If you're flying Oneworld and you have status, go for the BA product - epecially in T5.
General rule of thumb is the home carrier of an alliance or hub has the superior lounge offering.
