As the subject line says, I am a QF Platinum who is about to move to Malaysia. Given MH's dominance out of KL to the rest of Asia and Australia, I will likely be doing a fair bit of travel with them.

Given the very poor QF earn rates on MH I will clearly need to change FF programs. Curious as to anyone's experience with Enrich, or if anyone has any recommendations as to another One World airline to credit to (BA, AA etc)? Most of my travel will be from KL around South East Asia, and quarterly back to Australia.

Appreciate your advice.

Apart from earn rate, another factor for you to consider any minimum sectors which need to be flown on a particular airline to acquire/retain status. This would be easiest with BA by flying to Sydney via Singapore, or with Qantas via Jetstar Asia. BA has the added bonus of lifetime OWE to aim which is far easier to attain that through Qantas. I wouldn't necessarily limit yourself to Oneworld carries. I had a friend based in KL and to our surprise he actually spent a lot of time flying with Singapore Airlines for his travel throughout the region.

If you are not bound to any alliance, you can start exploring. I would still think BA is not a bad choice but still, there are still fare codes for MH that is not eligible for earning points (like Q - which Malaysia airlines sell quite a lot, so sometimes you have no other options but to buy those cheaper Q fare that won't give you any points, even with BA). But BA still has a lot more eligible fare codes (for MH) compared to Qantas.

MH Enrich is ok, it seems to be not too difficult to attain Platinum, and you can actually purchase 'SC' equivalent in case you are short of SCs, but they don't come cheap! But I cannot tell if they have lifetime membership.

Singapore Airlines is no doubt a wonderful airline, but in my opinion, their KrisFlyer to be very punitive and stingy. Points expiry very fast and the earning rate is rather poor. Lounge access for Singapore Airlines in Singapore is different between those flying premium cabins vs Gold status, so don't expect nice lounges. Similar to how Qatar does it.

There is also Cathay, but a bit out of the way if your flight is mostly South East Asia and reaching Platinum with Cathay doesn't seem that easy from my last research.
