First world problem I am sure, but I have COVID travel credit which was linked to double status offer (remember the first time qantas had to start refunding cancelled flights for Covid restrictions, they entice pax to convert to credit by offering 20% bonus in value or double status credit)

Does anyone know for sure if this offer is still valid beyond 31 dec 2023, if it is used after this?

I assume it would be but just want to see that in official writing or email (given the poor level of knowledge amongst current customer service by phone or online, I don’t bother to give up my hours to get useless unverified and not-reinforcible assurance from them)

No. You must use your credit for flight bookings by end of the year and that can't be extended.

Only the deadline to refund any travel credit doesn't have an expiry date now, and can still be claimed after end of this year.

Oh and the fine print for DSC says the flights must be operated by Qantas, so Emirates codeshares don't count. (The additional promo for double points when booking with a credit does allow Emirates codeshares)

I still also have one of these credits with DSC attached, but with Qantas' prices and meh status credits domestically Economy thats so questionable to use...

Thanks for the tip, forgot the credits doesn't last beyond end of the year, just the refund (or the right to ask for the refund).

Which meant I have to use the credit before 31 Dec if I want to take advantage of the double status offer.

And QF just joined a few other airlines to increase that nostalgic feature from the late 1990s “fuel surcharge “ (except that is nowadays hidden and built into the base rate, so that we can't see what they are actually charging); not everything from the good old days are, well, “good”.

I don't plan to use the offer for domestic flights, which is “meh” as you suggested compared to international flights in cost-credit earn. Obviously not everyone like to fly just to have status run, which is best if international flights are involved. Maybe you could consider a trip across the ditch to NZ for a long weekend….
