Looking at going to Barcelona, SQ 378 appears to go from SIN to BCN via a 70 minute stop in MXP. The SIN to MXP and MXP to BCN legs have the same flight number (378). Has anyone flown this on SQ and know whether the MXP - BCN leg is a Schengen flight or a non-schengen flight? I'm thinking it's a Schengen flight meaning that you will have to get off the plane, clear passport control in MXP and then security and then board the same plane again. 70 minutes does not seem like a lot for this but I suppose as they sell it as the same flight (378) that speaking from (their) experience, 70 minutes would be sufficient. Obviously more than happy to simply stay on the plane if that is an option at all (I wish!).
Not relevant if it's schengen/non-schengen as you don't clear customs, you get off the plane and remain in transit. Same as so many places around the world
I was on this flight recently but my final destination was Milan.
From memory, those going to barcelona stayed on the plane, although I'm not sure if they were made to disembark later and go through some sort of "fast-track" lane.
Flew this flight last year and to BCN. For passengers continuing on to BCN, you hop of the plane at MXP and then wait in the normal airside departure area. You then go down a seperate lane in BCN and clear customs in BCN.
