I read it different charlieg,
Under the "Lounge Access and Eligibility" section, in the "Eligible Qantas Members" sub-section of the QF website for both AKL and SYD business lounges , it states the following conditions for access by Qantas Club Member, "Next onward flight that day must be a Qantas^, Emirates^ or Jetstar Airlines+ flight number".
The fine print further states, "...^ Lounge access eligibility is based on the class of travel, Qantas club membership or the Frequent Flyer Membership tier for your next onward flight."
On the basis of that, I would say as a Qantas Club member flying EK metal, you should be able to access both the SYD and AKL QF lounges.
I do not believe you will have access to either EK lounges.
The only provision for Qantas Club members to an EK lounge is in DXB. Not even in LHR do you gain access to the EK lounge as a Qantas Club member.

Agree with TRB, my reading of the webpage is the same. You should also be able to take a guest in -
"One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight."
Of course all the website rules in the world can't guarantee the attendant at the QC doorstep.
Good luck.

Just to follow up could enter QF lounge. In addition Was offered an upgrade on Emirates via email for minimal cost which didn't access until too late. Think it is bye bye qantas
