Qantas Status Credits and Points when flying with Qatar

I'm Qantas Platinum and normally book via the Qantas website, flying to Europe either with Qantas or Emirates. I'm having some difficulty finding the flights that I want, on the dates that I want, for a trip to Greece next year on the Qantas site so thought that I might try flying Qatar instead. As Qatar is a Oneworld member, as I understand it, I should be able to book with Qatar, add my QFF number and receive status credits and FFP with Qantas at the rates shown in the Qantas earning table. Is this correct? I am interested in clarifying this, given the relationship (rivalry) between Qatar and Qantas and so am wondering if it all works as it should or points and status credits fail to land. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I have never had a problem doing this. QF Platinum is recognised by the QR system and the status credits and points as per the QF earnings table in 48 to 72 hours after the flight.

Mare sure you are booking an eligible fair class though.

Kakkinen5,

Do you know where I can find information about which fare classes are eligible and which are ineligible? Thanks
