I live in Asia, i have maintained my QF FF Platinum status for some time by predominately fly Star Alliance now.
Just having a look at QF rewards, are you still able to book rewards flights on Emirates, Qatar and even BA? Doha doesn't even come up as a location and looking at reward flight availability from various locations in Europe back to Bangkok, there is no availability across any class. Normally, would at least see some economy options, so thought something may have changed???

All award availability is worse than water availability in Sahara and you have to search very hard to secure decent seat. Saying that by my observation QF and AY release seats randomly without any pattern, so you have to came back again and again. JL and BA release seats at the beginning of the cycle, so you have to search one year ahead. CX availability use to excellent, but now is here and there mainly in Asia. EK use to be everywhere, but now much less and plus their taxes could be exorbitant. QR virtually does not exist nowadays - there is separate discussion on this.

You’re better calling.
For what it’s worth, P1 is the last bastion of proper rewards availability.
