Hi All,
Sorry clicked the button to post a bit too soon.
I had booked two tickets to travel to India earlier this month via a travel agent. The itinerary issued stated the class of travel as PE on SQ and the holding tickets claimed the travel sub class as E, a class eligible for SC's and Points on VA. I agreed to itinerary but the final ticket issued to me was for sub class N, a class not eligible for SC's and Points. When I called up / emailed the agent I was told that 1. Itineray for PE was an internal error with the agents system and so nothing can be done 2. The agent is free to change the Sub Class of the ticket as long as the flight number and date remains same.
What are my options. I paid nearly 4K for the tickets and have lost all SC's and Points due to the agent chaging the sub class.
thanks,

Did you pay with a credit card?

It also depends on whether you've signed any documents agreeing that all details are correct. If you have than there isn't much you can do about it.

Hey Andy, I accepted the itinerary which stated the booking class as Premium Economy, so in essence i feel it should be in my favour..

Hi ap_spd,
Your travel agent has substituted the product you agreed to purchase with a product of lesser value. This is termed 'bait and switch' to my knowledge is illegal in Australia in all states and territories. I would suggest you dothe following:
First, contact the government consumer affairs bureau for which ever state the transaction took place.
Second, contact Amex and take advantage of the purchase protection they offer.
Third, contact SQ and let them know. It is not unheard of for travel agents to engage in fraudulent practices - when the agent changed the booking class, SQ may have re-priced and re-issued the ticket, and the agent may be pocketing the difference. And obviously, find a new travel agent.

Was that your first time on SQ? They don't have PE.
