Hi all,
I'd appreciate some opinions on the best airline (in econmy) from Sydney to Hawaii? Any help appreciated.

Well, your basic options are Jetstar, Qantas and Hawaiian. Qantas flies its oldest, crummiest 767s on the route and only goes three times a week. Jetstar is Jetstar.
Hawaiian has its shiny new A330s which by all account are pretty good. I'd definitely pick that option (all other things being equal).

I would agree with taking the hawaiian option first, qantas 2nd as yes they like to use their oldest retiring planes but still offer ok service and reliability and definately Jetstar last. Jetstar always seem to be delayed and eight hours on any jetstar plane for the sake of a couple of hundred dollars is not worth it.

I recently flew on QF3 to Honolulu in Economy and found it to be rather pleasant. Good crew (got the standard platinum introductions an service) and even though it was on old 767 I got the tho seats behind the crew rest which were quite comfortable on my own. I'd go for Qantas again if I was going !
