I'm a current VFF Gold sitting on 200 SC with renewal coming up in mid-Sept. I'm keen to maintain Gold Status as I will likely do quite alot of travelling next year. What are some (cost effective) suggestions in terms of achieving this, flying domestic and with only weekends available?

Was much easier before 30 June when Virgin was letting you earn SCs on FF redemptions.
To maintain you need another 200 SCs. It would help to know where you are based.
For $1700, Premium Economy on VS SYD-HKG-SYD will get 180 SCs.
On domestic you can probably get down to $5-6/ SC by flying between airports without direct flights (depending on where you are based).
Whether Gold is worth $1000+ to you is another matter.
