Need help deciding on Seats. I am travelling Melb to Bangkok Direct 9hr Flight with my elderly parents. Decided to upgrade to Business class even though its really more like Premium Economy
because my parents are old and the extra room would be nice.
Anyway, I am unsure which row to pick due to conflicting info from friends. I am going by this link for the seat map on Seat Guru:
If I choose Row 2, seats D, E and F we will have two seats in front to annoy us when they recline, as well as 3 seated people behind us to annoy when we recline. The 2nd option is to choose Row 5 seats D, E and F. My rationale is that this row is better as we won't ever be asked to straighten our seats as there are no passengers behind us. I was leaning towards this option until a friend said never to pick back row as the wall behind it precludes the seats from reclining. However, it is not mentioned on Seat Guru that the back row has any such restriction or disadvantage over any of the other Bizz Class Seats. Surely Jetstar wouldn't sell a seat that doesnt recline, when their version of Business Class is advertised as having recline. Any thoughts?
Oh and please don't whip me too harshly for daring to choose Business Class on Jetstar. I am well aware its not even worthy of being called Business Class. But its still roomier than economy and comfort was the aim. I sadly can't afford 3grand per person with a major carrier lol
Row 1 A e j k is normally kept for passengers with babies as they have a child's changing table ,how ever they become available 7 days prior to your flight .remember most gold and platinum members know this so be early to check seats available on line exactly 1week befor. Hope this helps and good luck

How about you get your parents into a side pair, and then you take an aisle seat?

I forgot to mention that first row is not an option as people have already booked Row 1 A, E, J and K.

Oh no. Babies should not be allowed in business class, unless confined to a soundproof capsule! Lol
