Yes, if you book through the Emirates website but you will need to contact the Qantas Centre on 13 13 13 after booking.

Yea, but just do not hold your breath. I booked BA to London and naturally they sold me QF on SYD-MEL leg. For some freaking reason I could not allocate seats through Qantas site to seat together with my wife (definitely was able to do it in the past), so I call Qantas. Representative was very rude and told me that I have to call BA (heck! they never allocate seats on other carrier’s aircrafts!). When I trying to explain her that only Qantas can do this she is simply hang up. I called again and asked for supervisor. Surely problem was fixed, but a disappointment remains.
