Hey I want to take my Girlfriend to Singapore for our anniversary in march. I have about 200k velocity points. Anyway I can do this in First Class? We are from the Gold Coast and I want to take her on the suites by Singapore Airlines (Ex Sydney or Melbourne). We could catch our own Virgin Flights down.

Heya,
Virgin don't let you book these online, but you can call up the Velocity Call Centre and get a quotation for it. I don't envy how much it's going to cost though -- you're looking at about 40,000 per $300 of flight costs or thereabouts, as they're only available as "Any Seat" awards, rather than "Reward Seats"

No there is no way to do it with 200k points. VA charge ridiculously high amounts of points for SQ A380 redemptions. You will need 300,000 points EACH for a return F trip from MEL or SYD. This is not good value at all.
I would recommend considering LAX in J instead - much better value.
If you have your heart set on SQ consider Amex credit cards where you can earn MR points you can then transfer to Krisflyer - much better rates.

Suites is not available for award bookings using miles from Star Alliance airlines. Only Krisflyer miles can be used to redeem bookings in this class.
First, Business and Economy can be redeemed using both.
