Hello all.
Will be flying ek413 departing Auckland approx. 6pm to Sydney F class at the end of the month.
First time in F (will be planning F across the ditch syd - akl -syd next year again). Has anyone experienced the short F trip between akl -syd, what can we expect in the way of services, meals etc, would like to make the most of our first F experience, even if its only a 3+ hour flight.

Proper F service minus the caviar. Wines are same as on longhaul flights and the meal portions are a little smaller (but you get canapes, soup, salad main and desert + cheese). I would finish the meal and hang out in the business class bar, always a good vibe on the evening flight AKL-SYD. Ofcourse you could opt for experiencing the shower as well, depending on your FF status and how many people with status are onboard you can do this prior to landing and feel refreshed when you arrive (F also gets free limo transfers to hotel / home both sides).

Can I suggest that if you can, change the return date of this first trip to wehen you expect to come back on your second trip and book AKL>>>SYD>>>AKL for the middle part of the two trips and you will save afew hubndred bucks as EK is way cheaper from NZ to OZ than the other way round.
