yes, if not as full-fledged liunges, then certainly simthing like Air NZ's Koru Express concept.  it looks cheap, and quick to construct, which means they could have it up and running after not very long at all.  There's a good review of it here on AusBT.  Check it,

They're already doing that - first one is Mackay (http://www.ausbt.com.au/photos-virgin-australia-opens-new-lounge-at-mackay-airport), Gold Coast will be the second (due to open May-June this year). Darwin is also on the 'regional louge list' but if I recall rightly that's 2013.

But Chris is right that an 'express lounge' arrangement like AirNZ's in Christchurch (http://www.ausbt.com.au/a-new-concept-in-regional-airport-lounges-air-nz-koru-express) would be a great way for Virgin to go in regional airports where traffic and cost can't justify a larger dedicated lounge.
