Does anyone have information on how Qatar will fit into to the QF/Oneworld point/ sc structure? Contemplating booking with them to Milan early next year on their outrageously cheap earlybird fare, but don't want to get stiffed by QF on the points earning rates!

No one will know until the milage and status credit accrual rates are released by Qantas. Lets hope its not as bad for QFF like the arrangement with Malaysian Airlines!

I'm going to guess the earn rate will be just as bad as Malaysian arrangement considering QF's relationship with EK

I wonder if there is a media embargo on such information? I can't imagine these type of details still being trashed out at this late stage. Or are they just plainly inefficient?

QR have the details of their points earn/brun rates on BA, AA and a swag of others on their website. I suspect QF have an incentive to drag the lead a bit.

I would concur with other posters, start low on the earn rates to avoid disappointment - if the earlybird fare is that attractive then I would book it (my priority being price then SC's then points).......
