You know how some of us have been b*tching and moaning that the Qantas domestic business lounge looks a bit grubby at times. I've just seen a cleaning staff walk around with a broom and dust pan sweeping up crumbs on the carpet! Way impressed! And such a low tech and easy fix as well! Good job Qantas! As you can tell, I don't like crumbs...

Sure thing - Ive witnessed the business lounge in MEL going to the next level of service. Literally 2 people must be dedicated to cleaning up, and another 2 to offer odd assortments of food to guests. I beleive they are on the journey from good to great!

I cannot wait until Qantas introduces a robot vacuum cleaner (with a Marc Newson-designed shell, of course) for carpet crumb reduction (CCR, no relation to a British Airways flagship lounge). I fully expect the PR announcement to celebrate the arrival of a new era in lounge maintenance, "soothing inflight melodies"* included.

* Listen to the robovacs go "whrrrrr" with the occasional "thump".
