I have been offered a 50% status credit bonus from QFF for new bookings made in the next month. I have several bookings already made for travel over next few months. If I cancel the bookings (all Business class) I get a voucher which I can then use to rebook. Will this be recognised as a "new" booking? The voucher number will have the same reference number as the original old booking.

I don't see why it wouldn't be a new booking. If it gets deleted from your 'my booking' menu then it's gone, when a new one is added, then that would be a 'new booking'

You may have to ring Qantas to get the bonus SCs credited to your account.

I wonder whether you should pick slightly different flights (if you're flying domestic and this suits your plans)?

In their system it will be a new booking as it will create a new PNR. It doesn't matter that the old PNR's were cancelled out and a credit used to pay for them, the system will recognise the new bookings as what they are, new bookings. Enjoy!

I believe the new booking will have the date of the original booking applied to it so it won't be eligible. It's too simple a loophole. Much has been written on this on australianfrequentflyer.com.au
