Legally changed name & FFcards
Hi; my brother recently changed his first name and he is an avid frequent flyer just as I am. This got me thinking about all his frequent flyer cards & what or how he could therefor change those cards into his legally changed name?
Has anyone experienced this before? He has a few flyer cards such as Qantas, virgin Aust, Aegean and united all with quite a few points on their⦠I think Qantas and virgin Aust might be simple as just showing the original birth and the change -of-name cert? but what about Aegean and united?
Looking forward to your replies & thoughts on this matter... Cheers!

Hi Benjo - I would probably just call up each airline and ask what the requirements would be. I think you'll probably find that a copy of the confirmation of name change (re-issued birth certificate, or other document that they use in Aus.) would suffice as proof. I know for change of surname with QF that you have to allow a few working days - can't remember exactly how many - for the request to be processed.
Best of luck!
