When did Qantas switch all international fares from Red e-deals to Saver fares? It appears that on these fares now as well it is no longer possible to upgrade internationally, whereas it used to be the case that you could on a Red e-deal?

Checking the qf website you seem to be mistaken. Red e-deals still present on international bookings. 'Sale' fares not 'saver', are not upgradeable.

paa, what route was that for? Must be route dependent - a booking Sydney to London is currently showing both saver and sale fares, but no red e-deals.
There is a slight difference in the wording of the upgrade rules for sale and saver, but its hardly clear. Sale fares are definitely not upgradeable, but "some" saver fares are, others not?
