I posted on here about a week ago about Virgin Australia not crediting my Hawaiian points. On the return flight (HNL - SYD - OOL) I attempted to use the lounge in HNL, and SYD and was rejected at both sighting that I am not yet a gold.
I have emailed both of the emails ([email protected], and [email protected]), twice actually and I only got a response from 1 of them saying "wait a few more days". That was 7 days ago.
I am getting frustrated because I am about to make a OOL - SYD - MEL - OOL trip and really wanted to use the lounges to celebrate gold! It has now been over 2 weeks and still no points, or SC.
Is there anything I can do to expedite this process? I send my e-tickets, boarding passes, travel reminder, all to the emails.
And also as the points for my girlfriend and I would exeed 40k of points, I was planning on making an award booking for us to go to Sydney to visit her family on xmas eve, and now I don't know when I will be able to book it.
Hey guys I just wanted to give an update! I posted on FB and 1 hour later the issue was resolved so I deleted my post! I was disappointed though that on the Virgin website it says that hawaiian flights earn 1 point per mile in economy, and that virgin flights earn 0.5 points and I got confused as the flight was Virgin marketted, and Hawaiian operated! So I effectively got half the amount of points. I should have booked through Hawaiian!

Make a coffee, sit down and call them. Be prepared to re-send the scans of your boading passes.

I had a similar situation occur with Qantas. Put a post on their facebook page & the problem was resolved within 48 hours.
