Mitchell, could you also please describe your airport experience. How does it rate as an airport to transit through?
Thank you!

Yes I will indeed, I will be including how my airport experience is in Sydney and Guangzhou, how long it takes to get through the Outbound/Inbound processing & how good the departures lounge is. I will still be including the experience on the aircraft including Seats, Entertainment, Food, Service, Bathrooms & Cleanliness of the aircraft. I am looking forward to it!

I will be transiting in Guangzhou and will be continuing to Bangkok on China Southern Airlines. I will write a trip report on that flight as well.

That's a lot of extra flying just to get to Bangkok, over 1,000 extra miles.
Why did you choose China Southern versus directs on Qantas, Thai, or indirects with less extra flying eg. Malaysia or Singapore

At the time of booking, it was the very cheapest option other than Scoot and Air Asia to get to Bangkok.
