In my opinion, I think that I would go Thai Airways because they have refurbished Boeing 747-400s and their Inflight Entertainment System is excellent.

I find SQ to be really good. shortest transit time at Changi.
Malaysian generally works out to be cheapest.
Also on the table is the option of flying AI on the new dreamliner.

looking at Econ out of Syd. Will not fly AI from their constant delays and when I am returning from KTM.

Since you're includeing KTM I would choose TG - they use a 777 whereas MH uses a 738 and SQ codeshares on MI's A320.

I would go SQ as first choice - they offer great and consistent IFE and Service. TG great food, but their aircraft can be very out-dated on some flights to the sub-continent. Wouldnt touch MH the 737 maybe a dated one, but also, 5+hrs in a 737, no thanks.
