The QBE one sold through Travel Insurance Cover (google "travel insurance cover") offers good value. They offer QBE annual policies at a significant discount. I believe you earn QFF points too.

The Qantas website sells QBE Annual Cover as well. In my case family cover works out at $540 whereas Travel Insurance Cover has the same cover for $900.

Wow great tip F8. I'll look into that when renewing next year! Is there a link on the Qantas website?

They are great. But the main difference in pricing will be in the dental and medical coverage. Buy the more expensive one - it's worth it

You would need to travel frequently to get value from one, I've had quotes for two of us at $900 a year with Southern Cross, but find it more economical to buy single policies.
Not knowing your circumstances, we only travel overseas 2 or 3 times a year for periods of 2 weeks to 5 weeks at a time and the policies are around $195 for a couple for 2 weeks in USA or $236 for 5 weeks in Europe.

I get 40% off my QBE annual policy from my CPA association, and I believe other professional associations offer the same. Single annual (worldwide incl USA) policy was $253 from memory.
Otherwise you can get 30% off QBE anytime, google "30% off qbe" for a list of offers.
The entertainment book members has an 30% off QBE offer on till 31 Dec.
I also like QBE as they also cover frequent flyer points flights - but please take a look at your policy to make sure your specific one does (in case they change it).
