I had a confirmed business class booking by Qantas and Emirates had no record of my booking when I got the airport so I had to pay for a new economy class fare. What is reasonable compensation? If Emirates repay my fare and Qantas only refund the business part of the frequent flyer points neither airline suffers, but I have suffered the inconvenience of panic at the airport and having to fly economy.

Difficult to say without more information. I take it this was a booking using Qantas points from Aus to UAE/Europe?

Ddi you have a printout including ticket number?

Did you approach the Qantas desk (if in Australia).

I don't no what you mean by not suffered - if you get the above you have scored a free flight where you wanted to go on the dates you wanted to go, admittedly in economy, but without any payment of cash or points - sounds pretty good to me.

Suffered because he/she had to fly Economy when ticketed to fly in Business? Especially when he/she paid for a Business class ticket...albeit that being unclear.

smokey, who ticketed your booking?
