Hi guys,
I am a StarAlliance Gold (AirNZ Gold Elite) flying EVA BNE-TPE in 2 weeks. I was told that, although already a member of StarAlliance, EVA has contracted Qantas Club as their default business class lounge in BNE.
I've never flown international flights from BNE. Having access to both AirNZ/StarAlliance and Qantas lounges, I am wondering if anyone has the experience and can tell me which one is the better option.

The Qantas Club and Koru Club in BNE International are actually both fairly average lounges.
Koru Club is right below the Qantas Club and has a lovely view of the parking lot. It can get quite crowded as a number of different airlines use it (KAL, Thai, Etihad, Virgin, etc) and the furniture is a bit worn. The food selection is limited, but they do have a decent wine selection.
Qantas Club (above the Koru Club) overlooks the departures floor (mostly a bunch of duty free and coffee shops) but is larger and a lttle less crowded. The food offerings are a bit more varied.
Why not check out both, or even try accessing the SQ Silverkris lounge (which is quite intimate and is generally better than the Qantas/Koru Clubs)?
