Today I would like to have some opinions on who to fly from syd-lax-Des Moines one way? I am thinking delta because of seat and price. Hope you all have good answers!
Do you have any frequent flyer program status, preferences or loyalties?
What class do you intend to fly in?
During roughly what period do you expect to fly?
Are you looking for an experience or do you just want the cheapest survivable fare?
Hopefully, you can help answer these questions, which should give the membership something to work with to give you a reasonable and mature conclusion.
Yes, I do have frequent flyer status qantas lifetime gold and velocity platinum I would like to travel on the 14th one way to Des Moines I don't need to stop over in lax though it is preferable but Dallas will do. I would like to do business class domestic and premium economy internationally and reasonable like about at the most 9000$-9600ish dos that answer your questions?
I'm confused -- $9000 is vastly more than the cost of a premium economy, or even business-class, trip to the US. Is there a mistake somewhere here?
Delta doesn't have a "proper" premium economy -- no more width, just a little more legroom. So if you want (and are willing to pay for) premium economy on your longhaul leg you're probably looking at QF or VA.
In your situation I'd personally just go for QF to avoid (a) the extra stop and (b) LAX in general. You'll also save at least two hours versus any other routing.
Assuming you really do want to go just one way look to airlines who offer one way fares at sensible prices, thus Air nz to the USA eithe HNL or lax or SFO and separate ticket on an American airline thereafter .

Delta (and I assume Virgin) will be a two-stop through LAX & ATL. QF / AA you could do a one stop via DFW.
