I am currently a QFF member. One of the key aspects of the QFF program that I like is that the FF points have no expiry dates (as long as you have some regular travel or credit card activities). To mitigate the risk that QF might change their FF rules in the future, I would now like to become a member of another FF program (preferably Oneworld or Star Alliance) that also does not have an expiry date for points collected and, preferably, a program that is customer friendly in terms of flight redemptions. Any recommendations?
I am a QF platinum member with close to 800k in accumulated points. I travel for work internationally every 8 weeks and at least once a year on a long haul holiday (typically France or USA). I find it very hard to redeem my QF points when needed which explains the accumulation. That's why having points that do not expire helps. Worst case I can try to use them for upgrades on work trips. I have lost points on Etihad and Singapore when I couldn't use them on time.
I prefer to redeem my points for personal flights in business or first class.

What is your travel pattern?
What is your issue with the perception of points expiring?
How do you expect to use the points collectd?
