Does anyone have experience of the QF First Class lounge in AKL? Only today I pleasantly discovered QF operate an F lounge in AKL despite I guess operating no aircraft with F there? Is it worth arriving early for my flight to Sydney or is it not really worth the bother?
Thanks!

It is adjacent to the main lounge. Nothing special though when I was there 18 months ago it was pretty quiet. Comfy, food, drink and enough space. Not worth a arriving too early but adequate.

No not worth the bother it is just a small room, the food isn't special neither is the wine, however if your able to get into the emirates lounge then it will be worth it, but the emirates lounge only opens 3 hours before their flights which is late in the afternoon.

Careful with the Emirates lounge too. I was there a few weeks ago and with three A380s all leaving to Australia within half hour of each other, it was jam packed and we were lucky to find two seats together.

EK lounge anytime over the QF F lounge. I was there a few months back and it is horrible. I guess the only plus is that it is exrtremely quiet, isnce it doesn't offer anything....

The QF staff member on reception a few weeks ago said they are most likely going to remove the F lounge and combine it with the J lounge to make one big lounge instead of two smaller ones. Seems like a good move considering the average nature of the two current ones.

The AKL business class lounge is equivalent to a domestic Qantas club and the AKL first class lounge is equivalent to a domestic business class lounge (albeit dated editions of both), in my opinion.

The AKL QF lounges are a carbon copy of the current Brisbane Airport Qantas International Lounges-Terrible and dated.
