Planning to upgrade my SYD-SIN-CPH with SQ using Mileage Plus Miles. Would I be able to check for availability online using Expertflyer or KVS?

The only real answer you will get is by calling the airline - call United, as you are using their miles.
Even if you see availability in your searches, its doesnt mean they can have access to it.
