Hi, I'm am travelling this Friday to Singapore with QF on a standby ticket brought using a ZED ticket agreement. I am a QF gold member, will I be able to use the qantas club and the business class check like I would normally do so when traveling in Economy.
Thanks

Being a QF gold member I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to use the Business class check-in and the Qantas Club loungue as you essentially should be departing on a Qantas flight on the same day.

A330 Heath - be very careful. If you have purchased a ZED fare because you are the travelling companion or an eligible relative of a Qantas or other Oneworld employee then QF is very strict about not being able to use the lounges or other ff benefits you might usually be entitled to. Your ticket will be marked as a ZED fare, and although this rarely happens, employees are told to keep note of people who attempt to use commercial benefits unless they have QF approval to use those privileges on an employee discount (e.g. QF executives). I understand that this could get you and the employee in difficulty. In any event, whilst that is unlikely to happen, you will be excluded from the normal commercial benefits probably with a gentle reprimand from the check in or lounge employee. Put simply, you are not flying on a commercial ticket and therefore can't use your FF benefits.

You can check in at Business Class counters (unless QF has separate standby counters at SYD - airline staff on ZED or ID90s can use priority check in). You can't use the lounge.

Yarki, when QF abandoned the employee check in counter at Syd last year it made all ZED/ID 90 ticket holders check in at the economy counter (just as in other ports) unless they were an employee who held a card giving them permission to check in at the business class counter.

Just wanting to bump this old thread.
I'm QF Platinum and I work in the aviation industry for another airline. I am eligible to use staff tickets (standby/ZED) on a number of airlines including QF. Would I be able to access the QF J/F lounges when on a standby ticket by way of my QFF status?
