No Status credits are only applicable to Qantas. To receive status credits your QFF number must be in the reservation NOT you MPC number. If you desire mileage to be allocated to your MPC account then you only supply that account number and the awarded mileage will be credited accordingly.

dokken,
It depends on who you wish to accrue points/miles with.
Whichever frequent flyer number (CX or QF) is recorded on your boarding pass, will be the account in which the miles/points/status credit would be accrued to.
Therefore at th point of booking and check-in, ensure you elect the appropriate frequent flyer programme.
Frequent flyer programmes do not allow you to double dip i.e. accrue points/miles/status credit on more than one airline's programme for a given flight.

You can't double-dip, but you can certainly use one program to earn miles and another to access the lounge. This would be useful for QF status members switching to AA.
Speaking of which, I once had to display my QF boarding pass (to prove I was on a flight), my QFF card (to prove I was the same person as the FF on my BP), my Admirals Club PDF (to prove I had lounge access) my AAdvantage card (to prove the Admirals Club and AAdvantage was mine).
I was juggling devices and shuffling cards. Hilarious.

I agree with TRB ,it all depends who you prefer to earn points with as you are a member of both!! make sure at check in you confirm your prefered FF program.

Thanks for that guys. I believe the Travel Agent has booked using my MPC number, but Merc25, you're saying that at Check-In I could use my QF card and get the Status Credits / Points put on my QF account - correct?
