Bob Carr recently bought this subject up. So my question is which airline's provide sleep suits, and which is the best .i personally like Virgin Atlantic's black sleep suit .what's your thoughts!!
It's hugely ironic that a Labor politician would lambast having to fly Business and not First, as well as lament the lack of offering of pyjamas! Highly amusing!
i guess when people dont need to stay for any more elections they are more honest. anyone can enjoy the finer things in life! tbh i also find it a bit ridiculous our foreign minister flies business rather than first given the relative cost differences between F and J.
I've had lots of pairs of Qantas from both Businss and First class. I'm a pretty big blok - 6' 3" and about 40" round the middle. They make them too small and they shrink considerably when washed the first time. So you really only get one wear out of them. The Qatar ones are very large - and remain large after washing. These are much better.
TRB, haha absolutely. Interchangeable with Champagne Socialism no? ;)
A relative of mine once sat next to someone on a Qantas flight who claimed to know the person whose company gets the tender to deal with Qantas pyjamas. Apparently those that are left onboard are washed and reused (can't confirm/verify the truthfulness of this claim). They are unable to be given away to charity due to having the Qantas logo on them, which would render it as marketing/advertising
Cathay First class pj's (old Shanghai Tang style) are my personal favourite. Merc25, the VA pj's get recycled as I once was given a pair "out of the packet" that has a used tissue (washed) in it. Yuk!
I was disappointed with Etihad First pj's - nothing special and expected more from them as their suite was nice. Likewise Singapore Airlines Suites Class pj's were also pretty underwhelming. Even the quality of the materials was a bit meh.

Qatar do a very nice pyjama in grey with burgundy trim. I have several pairs which are my preferred winter bed-wear.

They may be Givenchy branded but the make isn't all that fantastic. Certainly not what I'd expect Givenchy to sell in their boutiques.
