Does anyone know when Virgin Australia will be able to offer 'multi-city' bookings on its website? At present, only one way and return flights can be selected. I'd have thought that offering multi-city bookings with its partner airlines would be huge advantage to VA.
I often need to do multi city bookings and I always ring VA to do this for me over the phone. As it can't be done online, I am not charged the regular booking fee. Its often slightly cheaper too...today I made a multi city booking which showed as coming to $524 online, but thru the VA call centre it came to $470! The only charge I faced was the $7.70 credit card fee. Hope this helps :)
Thanks for the advice, I think I'll try this approach also. I'll be needing to book a multi-city trip to Europe soon and ideally would prefer to go with VA and its partner airlines.

One would have thought so, but they actually REMOVED this functionality when they shifted from the Navitaire booking engine to Sabre.

I recently spoke to VA about adding multi-city, I was advised it is definately in the pipeline and should be active by years end.
