Mileage Plus Silver on the website is called Premier Silver. To be eligible you need to fly 25,000 miles within one year or 30 PQS (Premier Qualifying segments).
Just out of curiosity have you sought yourself an Aegean Gold Card only 19,000 miles is required to attain Star Alliance Gold status. A trip in a Y booking class economy ticket or business SYD-LAX would suffice
