I am looking at flights next april from AKL to RAR Cook Islands on NZ and the flight it operated by a 767

Is there a chance that this could change to a 787?

Expect the 767 for now.

It's extremely unlikely that the 787s will be used on the shorter 767 routes like this. I'd expect an A320 in the long term.

It's worth noting that at least once a week the RAR flight goes on to LAX.

Ah, didn't realise that. In that case it would make sense for the flights that continue to LAX to get the 787, but probably not by April.

Possibly. It'll probably still be a 767-300ER till the very end, though - it's literally a weekly flight, RAR-LAX. I've never seen it more than twice-weekly in recent schedules.

If it got a 787-9, though, it would be interesting. It'd probably be the nicest way into RAR for sure!
