Does anyone read the Qantas Source online, and have you noticed the ever increasing number of flights diverted and cancelled for technical reasons?

Does anyone read the Qantas Source online, and have you noticed the ever increasing number of flights diverted and cancelled for technical reasons? I can't help thinking that Qantas is becoming very unreliable.

I would argue that in this case no news is good news, and therefore all news seen is bad news.

Yes I read the QF source. I would suggest that  QF's long-term average reliability is probably the about same. They did have a number of planes go tech recently around the same time and looking at that in isolation may make it seem things are more unreliable. But you don't know whether its QF just being overly cautious - personally I will take a delay anyday over the airline rushing a plane into service to meet a timetable.

if it worrys you that much...don't fly them

personally...i will keep using them..the same way i keep using VA, JQ

as a side note...the VA 'source', hardly,  if ever,  posts disruptions/cancels of its 777 flights or its 737 'international' services....even when i know for a fact there have been

'the source' is an 'unofficial' site..just run by some aviation 'enthusiasts' who post info/'news' when they can source it..Some of the other info they provide can be inaccurate/out of date as well..I just treat it as a 'general info' site

The infomation you get on this site is factual.It is quality work by x QF staff and insiders.Wilsoni when your on the site you will see the option to go to other carriers...note they do have diversions/cancellations/tec and other delays.Qantas actually is far better than most other carriers.

If you think QF is bad you should check out The BA Source.

Wilsoni, I think also the more you read about cancellations or diversions the more you think about them which keeps them 'top of mind'.

If you actually look at statistics you will find that QF flights are number 1 performing vs Tiger, Virgin Aus and Jetstar...

guys it is airbus's falt they are terrable at making planes and that is why the majority of the brakedowns are a380s and a330s which are very unrelibale aircraft.
