Is Qantas domestic going the same way as Qantas international. Now they say they will not increase capacity in the coming months.Has AJ forgot about what he once said, mixed inflight service, poor trans con service. And heck when i do get back to OZ i can not do a int connect flight from SYD int terminal to BNE just the stupid bus ride. Why fly first.

HAve you looked at the Yield, Load Factor and Profit of Qantas Domestically recently.
They have added lots of capacity and suffered.
So are now slowing down.
While the frequent flyers may like the tag flights, historically it seems Qantas has struggled to fill them as most people don't like the extra rigmarole in departing from the international terminals.

In regard capacity the great AJ says he will increase it over an above Virgin...Now they say the will not.I agree with you the guy has lost the plot and QF will not get out of it in under his tenure.Seriously if you owned a business would you hire him!

Is this an actual discussion of yielf, load factor, profitability etc. of Qantas Domestic, or is this just another exercise in attacking AJ?
If it's a sound business decision to freeze capacity increases for a quarter, then let them do it! What was a good call last year might not be a good call today, and unlike the Prime Minister, AJ doesn't need to answer your prodding.

1. The decision to not increase capacity should have been made 12 months ago. It's a good decision, albeit late.
2. You can't get a Virgin connecting flight from Sydney int terminal to BNE. Let's not Qantas bash for the sake of it.

I agree there even though I am from Adelaide.Coming home from Bali February 2000 flying to Sydney on the QF30 and had the luck to get on the QF81 when that used to operate between Sydney and Adelaide No terminal transfers and the benefit of clearing customs at the final destination.A long missed service and get this it was a 767.Nowadays we all have to transfer to a domestic sector for the final leg and it's a 737 which is a bit of a shock to the system if connecting from a 747 or a330 or A380.

if only we had a population of 200million+ spread throughout the continent ... i really think some people forget how sparcely/unevenly populated Australia is...and where we are placed geographically.. (neither of which are an airlines fault)
